The expected outcomes for this element of the program are consistent with outcomes at the regional level, however are focused on national and sub-national levels (e.g. provincial, district). Outcomes at country levels are expected to be:
- Increased national and sub-national level understanding about the necessity and value of sharing information about government and community-led efforts to address drug use within HIV policies, strategies and programs
- Increased experience among governments and communities of initiating and managing efforts to address drug use and HIV issues
- Increased expertise in the practical use of approaches and methods that will assist in reducing the HIV harm associated with drug use among men and women in the respective country.
