Program Director

The Program Director, based in Bangkok, assumes overall leadership and coordination of the program.

The Program Director has the specific responsibility of TSU facilitation, technical support coordination, regional cooperation and harmonisation, liaison with relevant multilateral agencies and donors, facilitating TSU/ Country Program (CP) relationships and reviewing CP annual workplans.

The Program Director functions as the executive to the HAARP advisory board, chairs the HAARP Coordination and Consultation Forum (HCCF) and plays a lead role in advocating program approaches to harm reduction.

AusAID Bangkok Post

Overall monitoring of HAARP is the responsibility of the AusAID Bangkok Post. This includes responsibility for organising the HAARP Annual Performance Reviews, program reviews after two years and five years and reviews of the Managing Contractor.

The Bangkok Post liaises with AusAID Country Posts that are managing CPs and with the Asia Transboundary Section and the AusAID HIV/AIDS Task Force in Canberra.

AusAID Bangkok also chairs the HAARP Advisory Board Meetings and has a significant role in contributing to advocacy for reducing HIV associated with drug use, within regional agencies and in national, regional and international forums.
