Technical Support Unit (TSU)

The TSU is based in Bangkok and supports the Country Programs (CPs) by delivering the following key functions:

1. Technical support to CPs (primarily through the timely provision of quality technical assistance on issues such as law enforcement training, gender responsiveness and drug user involvement).  This includes support to monitoring as well as capacity development in monitoring.
2. Knowledge management to generate, capture and share operational level experience and data between CPs. As the program develops, this will include generating and disseminating implementation knowledge and best practice more widely.
3. Helping AusAID to shape attitudes to harm reduction outside of the program - specifically supporting AusAID and the Program Director in undertaking national advocacy work at CP level; and,
4. Administering the Cross Border Program.

Management of the TSU
The TSU is managed by HLSP in association with the Nossal Institute for Global Health at Melbourne University and IDSS.
