On 23rd June, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) launched the World Drug Report 2010.
The report includes statistical information on drug consumption and production worldwide. This latest version finds that while opiate consumption in East and South-East Asia is stabilising, it remains a problematic drug group in many parts of the region. Opiates, and especially heroin, is still reported as the most prevalent drug in China and Burma (Myanmar).
